C-TPAT Interactive Compliance Workshop | |||
| Session will present the rationale behind C-TPAT, the various "recommendations" for the foreign goods supply chain (manufacturers, consolidators, shippers, and intermodal entities). It will illustrate positive and negative impacts associated with compliance/noncompliance and required measures. It will explain the role of each player in C-TPAT from Homeland Security/US Customs, US importers, foreign exporters and third party security experts. Compliance issues include personnel hiring practices and physical security (controlled access, fencing, lighting, training, supply chain security measures). During the interactive session, delegates will be challenged to conduct a virtual survey of an actual manufacturer and identify lapses in C-TPAT compliance guidelines. | |||
