Managing Risk Through Emergency Planning | |||
| Excellent research and intelligence is needed to analyse the operation to identify all types of assets that are critical to continued success. Identify threats to these assets both internal and external, natural and man-made. Identify vulnerabilities of these assets. Implement appropriate and cost-effective countermeasures to eliminate or minimise the risk of a loss event. Develop an effective response plan to manage the emergency should an emergency occur. Principles of emergency response include isolation, containment, and response. Monitor the situation and environment for changes and maintain flexibility. Test the effectiveness of the plan, review and update it as necessary for improvement. | |||
