Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design | |||
| The purpose of the presentation is to introduce the base tenets of designing out crime in the environment, be it an office suite, a shopping mall or a manufacturing plant. The art, or science, is to determine how different space works, what is acceptable behaviour or activity within it, and to design for that use and function in mind; and then support it with appropriate management and maintenance policies. It all pivots on the design and use of space; control that and you control your assets. | |||
