Designing out crime in the environment

Mote and Bailey castles, the Inca cities and Phoenician Council Chambers are all evidence of the use of design to prevent hurt, loss or damage. The purpose of the presentation is to introduce the base tenets of designing out crime in the environment, and the environment is not just the great outdoors; it is an office suite, a shopping mall or a manufacturing plant – any space you can define is an environment. It all pivots on the design and use of space; control that and you control your assets.
